Acclaim Accident Repairs operates smash repair workshops in Hawthorn, Malvern East and Croydon. Each workshop is a separate business. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we look after it. It applies to all three workshops and to this website.
We only collect what we need to quote, repair and return your vehicle. This may include:
Mostly directly from you: when you call or email us, visit a workshop, send photos through our website, or ask us to call you back. We may also receive information from your insurer, the other party's insurer, or an assessor when they send us a repair.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for marketing lists.
Only with the people needed to get your repair done, such as:
Some of these services, including Google's email and storage services, may hold information on servers outside Australia. We use reputable providers that keep information secure.
Photos and details you send through our website go to the workshop you choose, so they can prepare your estimate.
We count visits to our web pages to see which pages are useful. This counts the page viewed, how the visitor found us (for example, Google or a direct visit), whether a phone or computer was used, and taps on our call, photo and directions buttons. It does not use cookies and does not record your name, contact details or IP address, so it cannot identify you.
Our pages link to Google Maps and Google Reviews. Those sites are run by Google and have their own privacy policies.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Only staff who need it to do their job can see it. We keep records for as long as we need them for your repair, warranty, insurance and legal obligations, then delete or destroy them securely.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Contact the workshop that handled your repair and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
If you have a question or a concern about how we have handled your information, please contact the workshop first and we will do our best to fix it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
